Essex County Urban League Collection

About this Collection

This collection consists of material on the Essex County Urban League (previously Negro Welfare League). The Urban League is still in operation. Their mission is, "To assist African Americans and disadvantaged urban residents in the achievement of social and economic self-sufficiency."

In this collection you can read the minutes of the Negro Welfare League, as well as some annual reports and other documents.
